Solitude

There's nowhere so peaceful and where the mind is clearer, than to be standing on the end of an isolated jetty above a freezing cold lake in the shadows of snow capped mountains, at dawn. This image was taken at Glenorchy jetty in New Zealand on a cold and drizzly morning in Octover 2023. The tourists weren't out of bed yet and I had the place completely to myself so I used a remote shutter release to capture myself in a scene that I had long dreamed about.
