Fruition: The Art of Naked Citrus brings together two subjects that have long existed side by side in artistic practice: the nude and the still life. During my early years in art school, these formed the foundation of observation. One day drawing the body, the next studying fruit. At the time, they were treated separately, almost mechanically. This work brings them back together.

The images show the model holding, cupping, or pressing citrus fruit against her naked form. In some moments, the gesture echoes weight, texture, and pressure. In others, the fruit is held close, as if it were all she has. The body is not posed to seduce, nor is the fruit used as decoration. Both are treated as form, surface, and presence.

These photographs are made as if they were drawings. The focus lies on contour, balance, and the quiet tension between hand, object, and skin. What remains is a direct exchange between body and fruit, stripped of excess, allowing the viewer to decide where meaning begins.
