The Dance of the Spray

Rather than depicting a “waterfall”, the work frames a threshold: a brief drop where water loses its shape only to reclaim it moments later. Above, it glides as a calm plane, catching points of light along the lip; then it tips and breaks into threads, eddies and foam. Below, it becomes a bright, restless field, each droplet seeming to carry its own impulse—an elemental choreography. The vivid green is not merely toning but assimilation: the stream absorbs bank plants, shadow and damp air, pulling its surroundings into the flow. Nature is not backdrop here; it enters the current as colour, atmosphere, and response.
