This work, structured around the theme of “A Dual Narrative of Time,” juxtaposes three iconic British landscapes—prehistoric Stonehenge, medieval thatched cottages, and coastal cliffs—to establish a visual dialogue between “the transience of human civilization” and “the eternity of the earth,” unfolding an epic British narrative spanning tens of thousands of years.

The photograph of Stonehenge leverages a wide-angle perspective to show the symbiosis of the stone circle and the vast plain. Diffused light through clouds softens the contours of sandstone monoliths, preserving their enigmatic aura and highlighting their harmonious coexistence with the natural environment. Medieval thatched cottages are framed at eye level, with natural light revealing the textured details of the stone foundation and roof structure, seamlessly integrating the traces of life from centuries past into the expanse of open grassland. These two heritage sites embody distinct modes of human existence across eras—one expressing grand spiritual beliefs and the other bearing subtle marks of daily survival—weaving together an enduring cultural tapestry that continues to unfold.

The coastal landscape series focuses on the sea-eroded rocks and white cliffs of Dover. A wide-angle composition accentuates spatial layering among the cliffs, sea, and sky, recording the timeless imprints of geological movement. One photograph freezes the moment of a visitor standing atop a sheer cliff with arms outstretched, complemented by the symmetrical cliff faces and soft glow from the overcast sky, creating a striking scene of human-nature interaction. Another frame captures a vessel advancing into the shimmering sea, infusing the vast, serene landscape with a gentle pulse of human presence.
