Monstrous Tales

These photographs were taken during the Swiss musical “Ungeheuerlich.” The lead actress, Martina Lory, portrays a mythical seamstress working in a former spinning mill on Lake Walensee, where she encounters the famous fairy tale researcher Jakob Grimm. She guards a secret, and over the course of the performance, the monstrous within her gradually emerges. This open-air production took place directly on the shores of Lake Walensee, with a spectacular stage built on the water itself. As a photographer, I accompanied and documented this outstanding artistic performance, capturing its intensity and transformation in this unique setting.
