Monuments of Silence explores mountainous landscapes as places of presence, weight, and stillness. Photographed in black and white, the series strips the scene back to form, light, and atmosphere, allowing rock, cloud, and shadow to speak without distraction. Peaks emerge and recede through mist, appearing monumental yet fleeting, shaped as much by weather as by stone.
Rather than portraying mountains as sites of conquest or scale alone, the work focuses on their quiet authority. Cloud becomes a veil, light a brief revelation. Each image reflects an interest in restraint and reverence, where landscape is experienced not as spectacle, but as something enduring, contemplative, and deeply silent.
