Flooded

February 2021. Flood in Cologne. Not so dramatic as we're kind of used to get flooded every few years by our river rhine. Anyway the level of the river had been 4 meters higher than usual. For this series I wanted to capture the measurable effects on f.e. the boats/yachts in the port which had been laying on the same level as the offices and flats and the melancolic mood of the people of Cologne because of the flood. I was photographing 3 times: 1. On the peak of the flood in the port. 2. One day after the peak of the flood with an unusual view on the well know crane houses. 3. On the sunday after the peak of the flood when people were out, watching the flood.
