Scott, the Sculptor # 1

One of my three main bodies of work is black and white portraiture. I prefer to photograph people doing what they love (hobbies and such) because, especially for new people, it gives them something to do and talk about. The session ceases to be purely a session and becomes them sharing something they love. This creates a bond we can use to break the formality of a session and make more relaxed and real work.

I've known Scott for years and his current body of work is bas-relief with clay. He was very easy to work with because, being a fellow artist, he understood the process of creation.
