Australia has hard Covid rules and one of them is being locked up in quarantine in a hotel for 14 days after returning from overseas. No leaving the room, no visits and often the windows in your room do not open either.
After leaving the hotel covid-free Sonia spent the first week going to the ocean every day or night to reconnect with the outside world.
