Hooper is always on the lookout throughout the year for trees that form interesting shapes and patterns in the landscape.

On this occasion he had spotted these trees while driving but made a note of the location and returned on another day soon after.

Hooper already had a vision of what he wanted to create and that would be to combine his passion for art, as well as photography and compose an image in his signature style of mimicking the look of silhouettes in a highly contrasted and atmospheric fashion.
