Revelation

The history of art has a lot of influence in my work. Implicitly or explicitly, I like to refer to famous works, or to deal with major themes of our artistic and popular culture.

We understand that this character, who reminds us of a Madonna, has a (divine) revelation. As a viewer, we don't know how she feels or what she is thinking.

The omnipresence of fire suggests the power of this moment, but can also suggest the coming of danger.
