This series was made during the coronavirus pandemic in 2021. One year of "stay at home" , "homeoffice" and "homeschooling", travel restrictions and social distancing offered also a chance: discovering the value of the nature in the closest proximity of our homes. This series of "panned seasons in the moor" can be viewed as an exploration of the notion of Home, a notion that does not stay within a specific physical dimension of a house or place, but it suggests nature as our home. During the pandemic more and more people feel the need being in nature, looking for relief from pressure and insecurity we all feel in one way or another. Instead of taking "documentary" pictures, I used a more abstract and impressionistic style of work to transport the feelings to the viewers. Using panning shots for example, allows to capture the uncertaincy and also the blur of this special year itself, but also "describing" the seasons as turbulent itself, with a lot of changes, uncertancies and explorations for all the plants within their habitats. Combining the panning technique with focused and sharp pictures of the same objects in double exposure technique lend the pictures the real intensity to illustrate the turbulent seasons out there in the moor.
