March to Glory

As the new year began, the feminine team of Emelec Sporting Club "Las Electricas", needed a picture for its official presentation. The image needed to capture the strong personality of the team, and the fearsome attitude of their members. "March to Glory" was the result of this process.

The idea was to capture the spirit of war paintings, and translate this to a photography. The mist was created by injecting oil painting into a fishtank full of water, and photographing the shapes that it produced, trying to rescue the true colors of oil paintings from ancient times.

The composition took a week, as the shapes of the players where cut and carefully placed into the mist, creating an image that evokes the feeling of a painting.
