During the fall of 2021 I visited Iceland with the aim of reinterpreting it with my own eyes after having always seen it through the lens of hundreds of photographers who have visited it before me.
What struck me most about the Icelandic landscape is how it’s always different in the details, an environment seemingly bare, shaped by the violence and destruction of volcanoes but that actually hides an incredible vitality. A landscape capable of creating incredible shades of color such as the sharp contrast of glaciers, constantly veiled by clouds, with the landscape below.
