This series of images are photos of mostly captive animals where I have used photo editing tools and techniques that are not always following the instructions manual in a step by step sequence, but where the effect is a camouflage of the animal in an environment that allows the viewer to find the subject some times easier than others, but never as a confined creature (visually). The pallet of the images ranges from monochromatic to duo-tone, but is never full color nor pure black and white. The project is an on going project that started when we moved to Ciudad de Panamá three years ago and had access to the animals some free but in the limits of the city and some in wild-life care centers that protects animals from human impact to them or their environment. The idea of this series is to eliminate from the images elements such as walls, power lines, fences, cages or tanks. This images do not pretend to be a literal document of any scientific or documentary value, but in stead a celebration of the species that we have invaded with cities, roads and pollution of our careless human actions. For respect of all the animals I have shot in this series I have not done any photographs in zoos or where the animals may be used for comercial use. Captive animals have been in natural parks, recovery facilities and free animals in public spaces within the city limits.
