We had travelled from the Ngorongoro Crater to the Serengeti & as we approached the first set of kopjes on our way to camp, we found this male lion sleeping on top of one of the kopjes. We waited patiently for him to wake up & when he finally did there was a moment when he looked up towards the savannah which was teeming with zebra & wildebeest. It’s an image of a king truly at home in his kingdom.
