Intersection Asakusa Tokyo

Asakusa, Tokyo, is a town of history and sightseeing that attracts about 30 million visitors annually.

With the intersection as a fixed point, the camera was rotated 300 degrees and photographed everything horizontally, including the time from morning to midnight.

The picture scroll-like photographs are different from the panoramic photographs I have taken in the past, and are projected as distorted views.

At Asakusa, a crossroads of the city where people have gathered over the course of its long history, where people never cease to come 365 days a year.

A landscape where not a single person is present.

The artist's view of life and death led him to include 12 identical souls of reincarnation.

In the photographs of Intersection, 12 figures from different eras appear translucent.

The concept of time, the present quantum mechanics, and fundamental Buddhism also have the concept that the past and future exist by thinking about the present (now).

Our existence, time, space, and the Buddhist concept of karma all intersect in the Intersection.

The concept is expressed in the Heian-enmaku, a picture scroll.
