The statue

The main challenge in this kind of foto contest is to choose among dozens your "best" picture that will allow you to hopefully be one of the winners. I have selected "The statue" because it best reflects the evolution of my style and the way I work in nudes photography. First, I chose a studio that offers the photographer more possibilities to be creative, in this case an old factory in Budapest that has been transformed into several studios, each one with its own them. Second, I chose a square format for eliminate what is not need in the photograph, and monochrome to better reflect the unique atmosphere. Third, I asked the model to take a pose she felt confortable with and be inspired by the environment. The credit goes to Dorka, a young and talented model based in Budapest. Back at home, I retouched the body in such a way it looked more like a statue as part of the story.
