A Mother's Love

This was the first koala born at Zoo Miami in over 20 years. It was being keep in a relatively dark room with and was very shy retreating into its mother's pouch if there was any sound or disturbance. I had to sit still for well over an hour and use a mirrorless camera in silent mode with not flash at a very high ISO in order to capture this special moment when the joey finally showed itself in the reassuring grasp of its mother.
