Monika Wanat spent the day with the Ovahimba tribe. Members of the village did not pose for her, and she was looking for the moments when they were unaware of the presence of the camera. Monika’s approach allowed her to capture everyday moments that are simply extraordinary in their ordinariness. That was also the idea behind the title – the captured moment was not meant for us.
