Sleeping beauty

These image is part of my latest and still ongoing photo series "Eye to eye with arctic foxes" and were all taken amidst the harsh Arctic environment of the beautifully unique Svalbard archipelago.

The viewer is to be accompanied eye to eye with the arctic foxes through a year in their habitat. In the pictures, the constancy of their curiosity is repeatedly complemented by the changes in their outward appearance as well as in their environment in the rhythm of the seasons.

As a teenager, I developed a great fascination for northern Europe and the Arctic, where I can often be found today, trying to raise awareness about the need to protect the incomparable beauty of this untamed arctic region.
