The brilliant blue of the Lilac-breasted feathers against the charcoal coloured smouldering grass made for an amazingly pretty contrast of colours, but I knew that I had to work fast, and accurately because Lilac-breasted Rollers are lightning-fast, erratic fliers, so I had to use every trick in the book, and more, to capture even one clean and crisp image of one of Mother Nature's jewels of Africa...
