King of the Canopy

I visited India in June this year pre the monsoon season. However, due to small early rains the forests of Kabini had been turned a panoply of beautiful greens. It was with this backdrop that my guide heard cheetal calls & shortly after spotted this male leopard in the canopy. A leopard sighting is always special, but this one was enhanced further by the early morning sun illuminating the leopard & trees. To me this perfectly captures a leopard at home in his beautiful habitat.
