Complicity

In the village of Bulunkul, Tajikistan, a bride is waiting for the groom to arrive from a nearby village. The night before there has been a big celebration with all the villagers, with lots of food and drinks. Now she is sitting with her friend in a room to get ready for the wedding. Seeing my big camera, she invites me into the room to take a portrait of her, but the most interesting shots are when she eventually forgets about me and starts chatting with her friend, while the little girl sitting next to them is trying to overhear the conversation.
