At over 14,000 feet, Mount Shasta is a four-peaked stratovolcano at the top of California. Lenticular clouds form over the mountain throughout the year. On this spring day, I wanted to capture the overall grandeur of the mountain but also peek beneath the cloud where the mountaintops were hiding. Changing minute by minute, I watched the cloud morph atop the mountain, stuck in the convergence zone. I set up my tripod in three different locations in the town of Weed, California.
