Andy’s Admiration for pre-raphaelite artists, especially Gabriel Rossetti, sowed the seed of inspiration. the goal of the project was to create a photographic portrait to add extra depth to his portfolio, an image that celebrated the painterly quality he is so fond of.

Andy had already captured the red-haired girl in a traditional style portrait and she became the next source of inspiration.

A serendipitous location recce brought it closer to realisation. here, Andy found a wonderfully mysterious tree, enveloped in creepers. the perfect backdrop to his vision.
