Finnish Annukka has been exploring peace of mind from the cold waters of Katumajärvi ("Lake of Regret") for several years.

In Finland ice-swimming (or ice-dipping) is one way to relieve stress and to improve sleep quality: Cold exposure can increase blood concentrations of dopamine which is so-called "happy-hormone".

In winter, the water temperature is about 4 degrees Celsius (39.2 degrees Fahrenheit), from the surface to the bottom.

Photo was taken in Hämeenlinna, Southern Finland.
