Ablaze

When I am out in the landscapes of Israel searching to capture her beauty, I am at the whim of nature and what is placed before my eyes. This particular evening I was getting ready to pack up my gear and leave as the sun had set and the light was fading. Suddenly, I looked up to see that the sky had exploded in color behind the Judean Desert mountains. I knew it would only last a few minutes and that I would have one shot at capturing the scene. With all my camera gear on my back and tripod in my hand, I ran as quickly as my feet could carry me to overlook these incredible canyons carved out by thousands of years of rainfall. At this point, my lens was guided into the mountains by the light and the river’s path: "Send forth Your light and Your truth; they will lead me; they will bring me to Your holy mountain" - Psalms 43:3
