Rainy Morning Risks and Rewards with the Columbus Tower and Transamerica Pyramid

On an early, rain-kissed morning, before the sun even peeked over the horizon, I set off on a mission. Armed with my camera and bubbling with excitement, my goal was to capture a unique shot of the Columbus Tower and Transamerica Pyramid – those architectural marvels that pierce the San Francisco skyline.



There I was, just me and a photographer buddy, braving the elements when most of the city was still dreaming. Finding the perfect spot was like a secret mission – right in the middle of the streets, under the sleepy city lights. But, plot twist – I ended up in a blind zone! Cars seemed to materialize out of thin air, zooming around the corner straight towards my impromptu photo studio.



Cue the action! There I was, camera in hand, darting and weaving, snapping shots mid-sprint. Talk about a high-octane photo session! The photos captured in this dance with danger? They’re a whirlwind of lights and movement, a chaotic ballet of color and speed.



For safety’s sake, I roped in my friend as a lookout. Positioned strategically, he kept an eagle eye on the curve, ready to signal when the next steel steed was charging our way. After a few heart-pounding attempts and a bit of strategic positioning, I got it – the shot, the drama, the angle, all wrapped in a perfect frame!



But wait, there’s a twist in the tale. To add my signature touch, I played with the colors, dialing down the world to grayscale and letting the green tint of the Columbus Tower shine like a beacon in the urban jungle. It's more than a photo; it’s a story – of early mornings, unexpected adventures, and the quest for that one perfect shot. Rain, risks, and all!
