They wear my vulnerability like pearls on a necklace

A self portrait representing the difficulty of showing vulnerability through art. As a modest person, I tend to cover up and I find it hard to give away pieces of my deepest self in art that depicts real pain or real emotions in general.

I wanted a project that enlightened my struggle with the concept of showing off someone's pain made beautiful with their art. I felt that this giant pearl necklace and a drawing of fake eyeballs on my eyelids allowed me to showcase how exposed someone can be while remaining hidden.
