Octagonal Convergence

Taken in 85 Sky Tower in Kaohsiung, lying down on the floor, the idea was to create a composition that can transform an everyday structure into an hypnotic pattern of repeating octagons, drawing the viewer into a seemingly infinite vortex of urban design.

The interplay of light and shadow in tandem, enhances the depth and by framing the lookup in this particular way in order to strip away context and embrace pure form, this image hopes to blur the line between structure and illusion.
