THE FORGOTTEN VILLAGE - People often go to faraway exotic countries in search of the Garden of Eden, but fail to see the mystery in their own backyard. Because of the corona crisis, people have almost been forced to stay in their home, their village or their immediate surroundings. The result of this is that man is again paying more attention to his own environment and nature . The village where I live is called the forgotten village. With this project I want to capture life around the church tower during all seasons. Personally, I like the seasons where the fog appears because it gives your surroundings a mysterious character. I prefer walking in the woods in my village and I will always remember the words of Henry David Thoreau in 'Walden': "I went to the woods because I wished to live deliberately... I wanted to live deep and suck out all the marrow of life... to put rout all that was not life; not, when I came to die, discover that I had not lived."
