(... and from now on) A New Beginning

Entering in - beginning - bringing nothing of yourself (naked) as you journey - through doorways open to you - to something of much greater and much better than yourself and what you currently are.

To the left, the Orion nebula, a close by (not distant) celestial object where new stars are being birthed.

To the right, The Pleiades - in New Zealand "Matariki" and in NZ Maori culture very much associated with newness.

Around all, our Milky Way, in a never ending infinity - a beginning that leads to Eternity.

The naked (deviod of everything) figure to the left, to the right, the perfected angelic/Devine.

A nod to Arthur C Clarke's 2001.

The story is one of searching for more, of taking a leap of faith and entering in - daring to walk through the door - and as a result, becoming so much greater. It seems apt to mention the several competitions of the IAA I have entered has brought me similar joy.

The title is inspired by a work by John Taverner that was performed at the Millennium Dome in London at midnight at the turn of the new millennium.
