London in Timescapes

"London in Timescapes" is a three-year photographic exploration (2022-2024) of London, using extreme multiple exposure photography to reimagine the city’s energy and complexity. This series showcases iconic locations like Covent Garden, Soho, Bank, and Greenwich through a process of layering up to 15 carefully selected photographs, captured on location with my camera. Through meticulous digital post-processing, I create dense, abstract visual narratives without the use of AI, relying instead on hours of manual work. Each location is brought to life with distinct colour grading: vibrant oranges for Soho's lively atmosphere, green-blue hues for Covent Garden’s creative spirit, and muted beiges and greys for the business district of Bank. The London Marathon scene adds a dynamic touch, celebrating the city’s annual event. This project pushes the boundaries of traditional photography, transforming fleeting moments into a single, cohesive vision that captures the essence of London’s perpetual motion and layered history.
