I’ve always been fascinated by the way light interacts with the world—how it transforms something ordinary into something cinematic, how it changes our perception of time and place. On this particular sunny November day, standing beneath Big Ben, I watched as the fading sun wrapped the stone in warm gold, while shadows stretched across its intricate details.
This image is about more than just architecture. It’s about the fleeting nature of light, how it sculpts the world around us, revealing and concealing details like memory itself. We pass by buildings every day, rarely noticing how they breathe under changing light, how they carry history in their textures. In this moment, the tower wasn’t just a symbol of time—it was alive, shifting between past and present with every flicker of the sun.
“Shadows of Time” is part of a larger exploration of how light and shadow shape our emotions, our sense of place, and the stories we attach to the structures around us. It’s about those small, quiet moments when something familiar suddenly feels new—when we stop, look up, and see things differently.
