The Day Divides the Night

Beaches are favorite places of mine. From the play of children in the sand to the overwhelming power of the ocean, to the spectacular sunrises and sunsets on the cloud-enriched horizons to the unique wildlife and flora that inhabit the seascape world. This entry took me by surprise, how the leading lines of the two sets of clouds encased where I was shooting from, then drew me in, all the way to the distant horizon. The title of the shot is from Jim Morrison's lyric "The Day Divides the Night" from the song "Break on Through". Quite magical and transcendent.
