urban theater -Chapter of Anime Expo

"Urban Stage" is a long-term photography project that aims to capture images of scenes in my daily life that resemble "theater performances." The intriguing aspect lies in the fact that these scenarios unfold authentically and spontaneously without any interference from me. Accompanied by a shift in my role within these activities—from participant to observer—I now document these fascinating landscapes of human activity through a perspective fundamentally different from before.



This photo series showcases cosplay photography events I frequently encounter at anime expos. These events, akin to stage performances, emerge organically without any prearranged direction or coordination. Both photographers and cosplayers inadvertently become dramatic "actors" within these scenes.
