Landscapes of the Mind

This photo series is part of an ongoing research project that explores how human emotions can be translated into visual landscape art using AI. The system can detect emotions from either text or audio using an emotion classifier. Based on the emotion, an open-source language model generates visual concepts, which are then turned into images using AI image generation. Each photo reflects a specific feeling—like grief, fear, serenity, etc. This is a simplified explanation of the process; the actual AI pipeline involves more complexity that cannot be fully explained here, it will be explained thoroughly in a technical research paper. The goal is to use this work for social good, such as in art therapy, mental health, or emotional storytelling through visuals. Photo 1 denotes the emotion melancholy, Photo 2 denotes the emotion grief, Photo 3 denotes the emotion fear, Photo 4 denotes the emotion loneliness, Photo 5 denotes the emotion serenity, Photo 6 denotes the emotion wonder, and Photo 7 denotes the emotion euphoria.
