Echoes of Self

Echoes of Self is a seven chapter self-portrait series with the self as the universal subject, examining the reverberations of my identity through time and experience in search of my Ikigai. Shot on hand-coated 4x5" dry plates, the inherent defects and intentional defects like light leakage are metaphors for imperfections in life. Extruded time adds to the dreamlike and outer-world aesthetic. Echoes of Self consists of seven chapters. This second chapter, Whispers of Dreams, explores my journey through unresolved moments of my past. Like dreams, where we process the day's experiences and allow thoughts to flow unbound by logic, this series invites memories, joys, fears, and desires to resurface symbolically, unveiling deeper layers of my Ikigai. The series reflects life's memories through natural metaphors and visual reflections of my inner world.
