I was passionate about photography and goldsmithing from a young age. However, both passions were not to play a significant role in my life until much later.
In the 1960s, I began designing shop windows and building objects for window displays. After that, until the mid-1980s, I successfully designed residential and commercial spaces and designed and produced furnishings for them.
At the end of the 1980s, the size of my objects changed. I designed jewelry made of buffalo horn, bone and especially sterling silver. In Paris, where I exhibited my jewelry at trade fairs from 2004 to 2006, I was awarded the "Etoiles de Mode" for best design three times in a row. During my time as a jewelry designer, but also before that, I had many publications in well-known glossy magazines such as Vogue, Harper's Bazaar, Elle and many more.
In 2016, my son gave me his old Nikon. From then on, I started to dedicate myself to photography. I'm Michael Eckart, I'm still young and have only just started taking pictures - yeah ;)
