Steve Majsak received the First Place/Gold Star Award for Interior Architecture from the Neutral Density Awards, the Silver Award from the refocus Awards World Annual Competition, and Honorable Mentions from the International Coor Awards and the refocus Black and White Awards.
His photographs have been nominated to compete with 6,573 submissions from 72 countries in the International Color Awards, the world’s most watched photography competition. His photography has also been nominated for the 17th Black & White Spider Awards. He has exhibited his work at the Edgewater Arts Festival and at the Edgewater Historical Society, where we won the 2023 photography competition.
In 2022, his children’s book, ABC Animals!, featuring his wildlife photos, was published by Silver Dolphin/Printers Row Publishing Group. ABC Animals! was named one of “18 Stunning New Animal and Nature Fiction Books” by Imagination Soup. In 2023, ABC Animals! was selected by the Illinois Reading Council (IRC) as one of 36 titles and one of six books in the Birth to Four age category for the 2023 Illinois Reads program. He has been featured at the 2023 IRC’s conference in Springfield, Illinois and the Illinois State Fair.
