I wasn't always a photographer. Before 2015, I barely gave it much thought, but the seed had been planted years earlier watching my father's 35mm slides click across a darkened wall, each frame a window into a world I had never seen. Everything changed when my wife handed me a real camera before a trip to the Galápagos Islands and said, "You can't go there with just an iPhone." That simple challenge sparked everything. I came home inspired, dove into Scott Kelby workshops, and slowly stopped just seeing the world and started photographing it with intention, emotion, and awe. After living across Europe and the Middle East for more than 25 years and exploring over 75 countries, from Norway's icy fjords to the sun-drenched deserts of the Arabian Peninsula, I've come to believe that photography is storytelling. It's about emotion, connection, and wonder. Today, I channel that belief into wildlife and travel photography, and into teaching others, through workshops, photo walks, and one-on-one sessions, helping photographers at every level go from unsure to confident behind the lens.
