I was looking for a human-horse pair who shared a special story. That's when I met Linnée and her horse Bob Dylan (called Bobby). When Bobby was 5 days old, he had a serious accident in the pasture, cutting his shoulder and stomach. The vet didn't give Linnée, then 9 years old, and her mother much hope that Bobby would survive, but she still tried to save him – and Bobby did!
Bobby and Linnée grew and fought together. This brought them their greatest success six years after the accident: They won the DKB Federal Championships in Warendorf. Even today, 14 years after the accident, Bobby and Linnée continue their journey together. Despite the noticeable scars on his body, Bobby and his partner repeatedly prevail against physically superior competitors in show jumping as a pony. Fighting spirit, strength, and above all, trust in each other is what Linnée shares with her Bobby.
It is precisely this trust and strength that the photo is intended to express.
