In Echo of Light, I explore the ephemeral nature of memory—how moments fade, shift, and transform over time. Inspired by the impressionistic works of Monet and the fluidity of human perception, this series reimagines water lilies, reflections, and colors as dreamlike landscapes that blur the boundaries between reality and recollection.
This series emerged during quiet walks along lakes and pools, where I found myself captivated by the reflections and colors in the water. I began photographing water lilies and their surroundings, but soon realized I wanted to capture more than just nature—I wanted to preserve the emotions and memories these moments evoked in me. Through digital manipulation and layered textures, I sought to encapsulate those feelings of nostalgia, fading, and beauty.
Using these techniques, I distort and reshape these natural elements, evoking a sense of nostalgia, introspection, and melancholy. Each image is a fragment of a larger narrative, capturing the fragility and fluidity of memory in a world where perception is as transient as light on water.
Echo of Light is a personal journey through time, emotion, and imagination. It is a dialogue between my past and present, between what I see and what I feel. I hope this series not only tells my story but also invites others to reflect on their own memories and how they shape our understanding of reality.
