Mama Christmas is the great matriarch of the Nkuringo family, a veritable force of nature. At forty five, she is the only grandmother in the group, an honour bestowed on her by her daughter Kuhirwa when she gave birth to her baby in the summer of 2019. Here, the three of them share the frame in a misty morning in the Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, Uganda.
