Bullets of joy

Despite living in a grey and desolate world, they are still just children. At the end of the day, this is their last chance to find something that will make them smile, besides the games they invent themselves. Almost everything they find is interesting to them because they have nothing else. They eagerly rummage through smouldering piles of waste, looking for the most insignificant things that they can turn into toys with a bit of imagination and ingenuity. But today was a special day! One of them found a broken toy gun that had survived the fire, and the dumpster quickly flooded with smiles and new games. This was the day a gun fired bullets of pure joy. It was also a day when these children showed us all that stories that begin with guns can end with smiles, too.
