In trying to deconstruct the elements of an intertwined stand of bamboo across the pond at water’s edge, the leaves of a nearby tree, reflections of a blue sky and giant falling bamboo stalks, both living and having-lived, I found this scene had a spiritual presence, especially during Covid-19 times, in its metaphor for the cycle of life.
