We see so many wildlife images on a daily basis, in order to engage the viewer and to keep my photography as authentic and real as the subjects I chose to shoot this collection on analogue film. I had maybe underestimated how challenging this would be, especially as I was attempting in-camera double exposures, there is no digital manipulation involved. I felt this was important to keep my shooting as raw and real as possible and show the viewer what was captured while in the field. Wildlife is under threat, I wanted to be able to engage and tell stories about these animals through a collection different to what has been done before. I wanted to introduce some artistry into my shooting that was unconventional and completed in front of my subjects, not in front of a computer screen. I only hope I have done these incredible subjects justice.
