Her Emptiness

This image is about a woman who is hollow. Broken by tragedy enters she enters into a prolonged sense of grief and numbness. The holes thorough her represent the emptiness she feels. The landscape mirrors her isolation. Sometimes during periods of vulnerability others strike and take advantage. Similarly the roses, appearing beautiful and known for "love" wind their thorns through and around her making her their home. The thorns isolate her further warding off human contact. They repel others from embracing her and she is denied the comfort of human touch- a touch that could restore her.
