Puglia, Italy. The "Xylella fastidiosa" 2021: what remains of the olive trees of Salento.

On a holiday in Puglia, the cradle of Italian oil, it broke my heart to see the conditions of the centenary olive trees, the uprooting, the burns that Xylella caused in these wonderful trees. I wanted to immediately capture the poignant moment of the setting sun on these trees struggling to survive. Most of the olive fields have been devastated by this scourge, and I wanted to pay homage to the last survivors.
